LaserBand’s StatBand Emergency Response Wristbands Added to HealthTrust Contract

LaserBand, the worldwide leader in patient identification wristbands, is helping HealthTrust Purchasing Group members leverage hospital preparedness grants from the US Department of Health and Human Services. Effective immediately, StatBand emergency response wristbands are available to HealthTrust’s nationwide alliance of 1,400 member facilities at specially negotiated contract rates.

The Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response (ASPR) grant CFDA93.889 has allocated funds to healthcare systems in all 50 states until they expire in FY 2011. Like the Missouri Hospital Association and other organizations, HealthTrust facilities can use these funds to improve their preparedness and emergency response programs by purchasing StatBand triage, EMS, evacuation, and everyday emergency response tags on LaserBand’s patient ID purchasing agreement #HPG-000978.

In announcing the contract enhancements, StatBand VP of Marketing Jason Boland said, “We view the expansion of this business relationship as a testament to StatBand’s dedication to developing innovative solutions. StatBand products are key emergency management tools that provide multiple benefits in the event of a hospital evacuation or required shelter scenario. Additionally, StatBand products allow for quick identification and admission of emergency room patients with a patented one-piece fastening system and uniquely numbered self-adhesive barcode labels. We are excited these product additions will extend the benefits of StatBand’s advanced emergency response wristbands to HeatlhTrust facilities as well as their patients and clinicians.”
